Curriculum Writer and Product Manager

Fixed term opportunity to 28 February 2027, with potential to extend

Help shape what the next generation learns about engineering.

We're looking for an exceptional Curriculum Writer and Product Manager – Engineering Technology to help create one of Aotearoa New Zealand's new Industry-Led Subjects.

This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up — translating what industry needs into engaging, high-quality curriculum for Years 12 and 13, and creating stronger pathways from school into further learning, apprenticeships and work.

You'll bring together the worlds of education and industry: working with teachers, employers, technical experts, Māori partners and four Industry Skills Boards to create one nationally coherent Engineering Technology subject.

We're looking for someone who can write brilliantly, make the complex simple, hold the line on quality, and turn many perspectives into one coherent product.

  • Wellington or remote within Aotearoa
  • $140k–$160k p.a. pro-rated
  • Preferred start: September 2026

If creating something genuinely new — with the potential to influence the learning and career pathways of young people across Aotearoa — sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd love to hear from you. Please click the Apply button to submit your application.
